Rudy’s is an old-style meat market that sells traditional Texas barbeque and sides, providing guests with the opportunity to eat it there or take it home. Their pits are 100% woodfired oak, a slower burning wood as opposed to mesquite. Their meats are cooked in a dry spice, not in their “SAUSE” (they use it on the side). Rudy’s pulls their product straight from the pit, cut it to order in front of the guest, and serve it on white butcher paper accompanied by slices of fresh, white bread, pickles and onions. Local favorites are moist brisket, smoked turkey and cream corn. The Austin-area Rudy’s locations are locally owned and operated since 1994.
